It's hard to believe that over a month has passed since our wedding. When I think back to our wedding, I can't help but to also think about all your hard work & dedication that made our day so very special. I laugh when I think about the day before the wedding when we secretly took photos so I could give them to Lonnie as his surprise wedding gift and when I look at the pictures now, I am still amazed at my transformation.

You are undoubtedly the most talented and creative make up artist, hair stylist and photographer that I have ever known! it's a real challenge to do just one of those well, but you managed to do it all exceptionally well with such grace & ease. I have had my hair and make up done by several famous artists including a few that Christie Brinkley has used and honestly, they could learn a lot from you.

Lonnie and I absolutely LOVE the pictures and never imagined in our wildest dreams that they would look so fabulous. Your pictures are the closest Ill ever come to looking like a professional model even though I'm the farthest thing from one!

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't express my deep gratitude for going above and beyond the call of duty. When my wedding coordinator or the Ritz Carlton could not fulfill my last minute request for flowers at the wedding site, you didn't hesitate to bring me some beautiful flowers the morning of my wedding. I always expect that level of service from the Ritz Carlton, but I was pleasantly surprised to receive it from you. As a small token of my appreciation, I have included a few pictures that show how your flowers perfectly complemented the courtyard. Some Thoughts From Our Guests. . .

Caribbean Style is not a B&B Inn in the stateside sense, rather a small group of oceanfront condos personally managed by Juliana (a/k/a 'Miss J'), an energetic island resident who among other things stocks your refrigerator with breakfast foods for your arrival.

In addition to the incredible azure vista off your second floor balcony (and no kidding, you can hit the Caribbean Sea with an ice cube from your drink !), as you walk in for the first time, Juliana's condos feel like home. In contrast to bare and basic hotel rooms, her condos are stocked and equipped to the max. And the room rates even in high season are incredibly low, less than half of most of the hotels, barely more than a campsite in St. John.

Juliana is also a glamour wedding photographer, so you have to explore her website a wee bit to find her accommodations, which aren't just for honeymooners, but can certainly make you feel like one.

All in all, a definite 5 thumbs up !

Thanks for your wonderful hospitality. Your insights into the island history, its people, and their cultures truly added a dimension we would have gotten nowhere else. The excursion we made with you allowed us to see and do things a visitor to one of the 'resorts' will never see. Your tour of the islands and recommendations on where to go and eat, (and where not to go and eat!) were right on. Your personal touch truly allowed us to experience "your islands" to their fullest and paved the way for many wonderful trips back.

"Latitude 18" should be in the dictionary under "kick-back". WONDERFUL food and best prices on the island. Arthur's beachfront restaurant . . . great food in a magnificent setting.

Perfectly relaxing and private. Great view, clean and attractive inside, a full refrigerator and every extra we could imagine. Not often do you arrive at your condo to a lovely place to stay as well as bug spray, beach chairs, cooler, water bottles, hats...even a waffle iron! We were pampered, yet left alone... best of both worlds. Everyone we spoke to was UN-enthusiastic about their accommodations in large hotels, while we became more smug about our wonderful accommodations each day. It is a perfect couples get-away. Bits of advice: you WILL want a car, the pool is not useful but close beaches are great, the advice of the manager Juliana is 100% accurate so be sure to listen!

To make a long story short, our original plans didn’t work out, and we wound up making arrangements with “Miss J” (the owner and operator of Caribbean Style) less than a month beforehand. I was a little bit apprehensive, but she was very, very enthusiastic over the phone. As it turns out, the other reviewers here (in TravelAdvisor) who gave it 5 stars are right on the money.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It’s not a classic B&B in the American sense. It’s more like a series of full oceanfront condominiums. You get a lot more room than you would at a hotel, with the beach right there, ferry to St John less than a few minutes away, etc. The accommodations themselves are very nicely decorated and clean. You will have a full refrigerator – stocked with whatever kind of food you enjoy. No joke about this – either by email or phone beforehand, Miss J will be asking you things like, What do you enjoy for breakfast? Lo and behold, it will all be there. Miss J will arrange to have you picked up at the airport, which is a great benefit, much better than trying to get a taxi with everyone else.

I honestly cannot say enough about Miss J and her accommodations. She’s quite a character, with her charming New Zealander accent and great stories about life on St Thomas and her experiences in the mainland US beforehand. She’ll wait on you hand and foot if you let her, but she’ll also leave you alone if that is what you would prefer.

I agree that a car might be useful, but that would be the case no matter where you were staying on the east end of the island. Also, be sure and head over to St John for at least a day – maybe a lot more. There is a 15-minute ferry that leaves from just a short trip away from B&B Caribbean Style. It also has much later return ferries than the one that goes all the way back to C.A.

Also, as an alternative, Miss J offers a “homestay” option. In this option, you actually wind up staying in the house that she lives in. This would not necessarily be for everyone, but I can definitely recommend it. Miss J stays out of your way to the point that you hardly see her – unless you want to. It costs a little bit less (although her rates are very reasonable anyway), and it’s more likely to be available if you are planning a last-minute getaway. You get all the same stuff – full fridge, easy access to the water, very nice accommodations, etc.

This was our sixth trip to St. Thomas. We love your island. We had stayed at a resort on the East End of town on our previous trips. It was closed due to much needed renovations. After reading about Caribbean Style Condos in both the Fodor's and Frommer's Travel Books, I decided to give you a call. I am so glad I did.

We stayed 10 days in Condo 3D from January 5-15, 2006. Our daughter and her husband stayed a week in Condo 11D later that same month. It was such a wonderful relaxing stay for all of us.

The condos were sparkling clean with well supplied kitchen & bathrooms, over and above anywhere we have ever stayed. The breakfast foods and large bottles of water that you left for us, were the icing on the cake.

I would highly recommend Caribbean Style Condos to anyone.
